Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Angolan President Joao Lourenco today in New York City. Secretary Blinken and President Lourenco discussed the growing importance of the U.S.-Angola partnership, as demonstrated by President Biden’s upcoming trip to Angola. They also spoke about the importance of the Lobito Corridor to the development of the region and Angola’s critical leadership in the peace process for the Eastern DRC.
